Yesterday, we wrote about one of the movies – “Contrary Warrior: The Life and Times of Adam Fortunate Eagle.” – being featured in next week’s 34th American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. Here are trailers from two more, and a video made in conjunction with a third. Enjoy!

If you can get to see The Only Good Indian…DO IT! I had the opportunity to see this film a few weeks ago, and now have a copy in my hands to review for a local magazine. I’m blessed to get to snuggle up tonight with coffee and watch it again. As an anthropology major, it seems to be historically accurate, as well as just plain terrific. The acting is great, but you’d expect no less from a legend like Wes Studi. The complex plot takes some twists and unexpected turns. Soon, you’re not sure who is the bad guy, and who is the good guy. In the end, though, you know that the spirit of our people will always find a way to prevail through whatever tries to crush us down. I can’t say more without spoiling the plot, but I can say one more time; do not miss this movie. Hopefully a major distributor will pick this one up and it will be on the big screen soon.
